For me, a beautiful sunset is like a great meal or a good book – they never get old. When the shadows grow long and the sky catches fire, I’m reminded to slow down and soak in the moment. The desert never fails to deliver one magnificent sunset after another and when we were in Utah, Nevada & Arizona in December, they just kept getting better with every passing day. Some of my favorites…
Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada:
Valley of the Gods, Utah:
Lake Mead, Nevada:
Lake Havasu, Arizona:
Where is your favorite place to watch the sunset?
I’d be interested in some details of high, low points on your recent journey, and maybe a map. My wife and I are taking 5 or 6 weeks starting last week March; Arizona, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico will be our target zone. Bikes. boots and kayaks are our preferred mode of transport though we will have our camper (which we’ve never used). Winter is slipping away here, but spring will be a teaser for several months.
We’re in Okanogan county, Washington state, near the Canadian border, if you ever happen up this way stop in. gbb
I just put together a new post that hopefully will help you find some great spots for your upcoming trip, click here for more. Have a great time and enjoy your camper!
